Design is not a job - It's a life choice.
I haven't had a paying design job since 2009, but still I can't help myself. I continue to see problems and issues and feel compelled to design something. Or I get an idea for something and I can't just let it go, I've got to draw it or model it. I've gone from stay at home Dad to real estate agent now pushing boxes at 2am for money. I should just throw in the towel and not think about it - but I can't.

Spring is finally here in the northwest and I feel like putting up the stuff I've been working on for a while. To come along soon. In the mean time I am still teaching occasional art classes to 1st graders. Wow, they are easily impressed.

I have been neck deep in running my real estate business and taken too little time to post and add art. One thing I have done is I volunteer to teach art at my daughter's school. The grade schools in our district dropped art education a long time ago. So I'm teaching 1st graders to draw and sketch. If I can't work on my own art I can at least get them inspired to do their own!
